What’s Wordle?
Wordle is a game where you are supposed to guess which letters are used to complete a word. Each time you make a guess, the correct letters are illuminated until you eventually spell the word of the day. Then, you can share the results online and brag as one does after that feeling of accomplishment.

Hate the Wordle feelings, but love the bragging rights? Let’s cut to the chase and show you how to find the answer to the puzzle even before you type a single letter. Here are the steps to your success!
- Go to the Wordle website
- In your favorite browser, locate the Web Developer Tools. I’m going to use Firefox as an example, since I use this browser most.
- Navigate to the Storage tab, and expand Local Storage.
- There’s your solution!
Wordle Fun Fact!
There is an end to the game! On October 20, 2027 the last Wordle word will be played. What will it be? As of now, it will be “zymic”, unless the developer changes the code.
That’s right, every Wordle solution is in the JavaScript that’s loaded when the webpage is visited. Yes, the code is obsfucated a bit, but even a junior software developer could follow it to figure out what was going on. So, for us hackers, the fun of the game is figuring out the code, rather than the way the game was intended. It was certainly fun!
